Adventure tourers – KTM currently produces the 1090 Adventure, 790 Adventure, 390 Adventure, and 1290 Super Adventure dual-sport adventure bikes in versions with different seat height, wheels and suspensions that endow the machines with a road (S), off-road (R – for rally) or touring (T) bias.
I just had this issue. Was riding home from work and the service light comes on a few miles before home. 2018 1090 R. I just recently purchased this bike with 500 miles on it. I rolled over 2500 miles coming home and that is what the service was set for. Reset it to 9000 and the light went off. A big thank you to the more knowledgeable riders
I picked up the 2023 890 Adventure R from KTM HQ (400km round trip), rode it home to pack it for the Rallye and then rode it a further 700 kilometres to the start point at Lake Hume. By this point, I had a very good view of how the bike felt on freeway stretches and it was clear that the new front-end styling had gifted the rider slightly
Advice: 1290 Super Adventure S or 1290 Super Duke GT. Hey guys, I'm a long time KTM fan and while I'm waiting for the test drive I thought it was interesting to hear some opinions and advices. I'm a really tall guy, 196 cm or 6'4'' and pretty bulky too (around 100 kg), right now I'm a not-so happy owner of a 1090 Adventure, I say not so happy
I just received my odb2 cable adapter for ktm. And surprise, look like ktm have change the odb2 connector on the 2021 890 r adventure. Someone knows
I'm buying a mostly-road adventure/touring bike this year. So either KTM 1090 (or larger), Multistrada 1200S or Caponord 1200 ABS. Today was actually my bike demo day. I spent most of the day running around to the various dealers. I got to ride the two Italian bikes no fuss no muss.
I've been toying the idea of getting myself an 1090R for a while. Now I'm reading in the italian forum that the speed is limited to 200km/h. A couple of inmates actually tried and the bike cuts out at 207km/h (odometer) or 199km/h (GPS). This has been confirmed by KTM Italy, with incredibly stupid justifications.
KTM 1090 / 1190 Adventure / R / 1290 Super Adventure / R Comfort Single Piece Sport Seat. The road is just right and the weather is perfect, but there's a problem… your backside is starting to hurt and you’re thinking about cutting the ride short due to the discomfort. Don’t waste a perfect ride with a bad seat.
The AT is better, a good street bike, soft mushy suspension, less boring. KTM is edgy and tall, I think it's a very good street bike and it rules off pavement, best power - not just max power but great throttle control, best suspension in all cases period. Only needs a UniFilter airfilter kit and a skid plate.
